For this horror film, the editing platform used is very important. To make it as realistic as possible, I knew that using a phone to edit wasn't the right choice. Also using a bad editing software wasn't the right choice either. I didn't want to use CapCut. CapCut is a good alternative to go to if you are looking for something quick and easy. However, for this production, I didn't want to use it. The reasons being is that most of the cool features to help make the production more realistic need to be paid for. As I am a broke teenager, I don't have the money to spend on that. Also, I didn't want the final production to be choppy. So, CapCut wasn't the one for this sequence. Alight Motion is a better software. However, I wanted the production to be as realistic as possible. Both Alight Motion and CapCut are easy access to download on any device. However, my group members and I only had access to it on an iPhone. I didn't want to work with an iPhone cause it is smaller. So, I suggested to one of the main editors that they use DaVinci Resolve. I knew one of the already had the software on their computer so this was an easier process. DaVinci Resolve is an amazing software. I know it will help the opening sequence to look real. Adding the music, lighting, and effects with this software is easy and a smooth process. I'm very pleased with my decision.
