Production Blog: Editing Process

Image
I had 2 people in my group. However it would be 3 plus me. I also told my littl ebrother and sister to help us to flim the production. So, we each had our parts. The filming took place at my house. I set up the props and made sure everything ran smoothly. I also was in the production itself and it was fun. The other group members had their say and did their job. I wasn't the main one editing. I had smalls part in it and giving input but I wasn't the main one. I did chose the editing software. I'm veyr happy with my choice because the transitions looks great and not very choppy. I suggested things like spilt screens for some areas. I even told the editer to insert this one clip where it looks like the audience recieved the message. However, I ran into a problem. I feel as though the production may not make sense. I need to discuess with my group mates on what to do to fix it. I want the storyline to not only be pleasing to watch, but to make sense. But the audience would n

I only played a little part in the editing process. I was more involved in the filming process. I played the girl and had a lot of fun. I got dress-up and help with props. I also worked with a good group of people. They get their work done and I'm also comfortable with them. I also gave suggestions to what angles we should do.  The part that I did play in terms of editing was choosing the platform we used. I also gave suggestions to fades, lighting, zooms, and etc. Last project I used CapCut. It was simple and all you had to do was inert videos and pictures. You could add lighting and transitions. However, they didn't look good. CapCut makes your videos look very choppy. For this project, I wanted the music video to make sense and have clean edits. I knew that my group had to chose something else. Alight motion has very nice editing features. It also makes your videos look clean. Even though I wasn't the one to edit, my suggestions looked good. Most importantly, they we

In this project, I played the part of the main film. The rest of my group came over to my house on Sunday and we filmed for this project. I was giving different suggestions and I was open to other ideas. I was mainly suggesting different camera angles or shots for each scene. I wanted the different elements to add something to the scene. Like a zoom in can do a lot such as add emphasis on a subject reaction to something. Little things like this will make the video better. I examined the rubric and made sure that the music video went along with it. I checked the storyboard to make sure we were going off it directly. Some things were changed. For example, on the story board it’s written that Harmony was dropped off at the airport. However, due to the location only where I live, I had to think of something else to replace it. Instead I suggested they walked along the park. It worked! I didn’t only direct how the scene would play out. I also worked to find props and costumes. I also had to

Production Blog: Playing The Part

For this music video, I played the role of the girl. For the story line, there are 2 girls and 2 boys. I play the main girl that the story line is about. The girl sees the boy at the party and feels a connection. However, they have to battle long distance. For this project, I wasn't filming however I was the one being filmed. The filming took place at my house. Because of this, I had to get dressed up. I had to set up the props. I had to find the right places to record and that would fit into the story line. It wouldn't make sense to record an indoor party on an outside field. So, I had to make sure everything looked right. That also meant I had to look the part. Dressing up for the scene was fun. The theme was simple: a party. So, it wasn't very hard to find something to wear. However, I couldn't find what I was orginally going to wear. So, I had to think of something else. I had a back up plan but I thought it looked bad. Everyone else said it looked fine so I stuck

Production Blog: Setting up the scene

This music video is a group project but we decided that it would take place at my house. My house isn't small but it isn't big either. Although, I share a room with my sister, I will make make the most of the space that's given to us. I have all the necessary places to make it look like an actually party. This includes the living room, the bedroom, and my driveway. With the help of editing, props, and proper background effects, these places will match the scene correctly. The editing will include different camera angles to add emphasis on certain objects or anything. The props can include drinks, cups, the car, and more. Since the music videos takes place mainly at a party and within a bedroom, those 2 scenes will be the main focus. One scene will take place in the living room. The other will take place within one or two of the bedroom's in my house. For the party scenes, we can use sparkling water to ressemble wine. We are underage so that wouldn't be legal to us

Planning for my Music Video

Passionfruit by Drake Props : Sparkling water to disguise as champagne + champagne cups, phones for exchanement of text messages, and fake money to buy drinks with. Costume : Dress with leather jacket, suit, red pajama pants and an oversized t-shirt, red pajama Location : Filmed at Ludjmilla's house, on a saturday in the afternoon Backup plan : Filmed at the park, on a saturday, in the afternoon. We will use the same props and same costume despite the costume change.  The Story takes place first at a club with flashing lights and different camera angles.  The boy and the girl make eye contact and the boy goes over to the girl to start talking.  They feel a connections and exchange numbers  However, the girl isn't from Florida. She is from California.  This rasies a long distance issue.  They continue to text over the phone until they see each other again

My Group for the Music Video

Image
For this project, I chose to work with Mai'Lyia Burris and Joel Francis. I chose to work with them because I'm close with them. I'm comfortable around them and I can be myself. I also trust them to put an equal amount of effort in this project. They are both hard working people who make sure to get their work done on time. Trust is a big thing for me because if they weren't hardworking then I wouldn't have chosen them, despite them being my friends. It also wouldn't be awkward if we arranged plans to complete the project. My parents already know them both as well so, the arrangements wouldn't be an issue. We all get along and all have great ideas to add to this project. We may not all be in the same period but that isn't a big deal. We will work around that and won't let it stop us. We won't let it become a limiation. The song that we chose was Passionfriut by Drake. It's genre is pop. The process was difficult to chose a song. We all wante

Intro to Music Video

Image
My name is Ludjmilla Maignan but just call me Ludji. I'm 15 years old and my birthday is on October 3rd. My birthday falls on the 3rd so my favorite number has always been 3. My favorite color has always been blue, but not cyan, more like a baby blue or a pretty royal blue. I'm the oldest of 2 siblings, a younger sister and brother. I used to play the guitar but I quit. I am getting my musical interest back through Fort Lauderdale's marching band and I may start guitar lessons again. I love listening to music because it's like an escape. I love my friends and family. I love when I can easily relate to people and the conversation just flows. I hate when people walk slow in the hallways or stop in the middle to talk to their friends. I hate when people think respect is one-sided. I'm a hardworking person when it comes to school, other than that, I can be lazy. My dream is to do something within the medical field especially with the least amount of schooling. I
