Production Blog: Filming

In this project, I played the part of the main film. The rest of my group came over to my house on Sunday and we filmed for this project. I was giving different suggestions and I was open to other ideas. I was mainly suggesting different camera angles or shots for each scene. I wanted the different elements to add something to the scene. Like a zoom in can do a lot such as add emphasis on a subject reaction to something. Little things like this will make the video better. I examined the rubric and made sure that the music video went along with it. I checked the storyboard to make sure we were going off it directly. Some things were changed. For example, on the story board it’s written that Harmony was dropped off at the airport. However, due to the location only where I live, I had to think of something else to replace it. Instead I suggested they walked along the park. It worked! I didn’t only direct how the scene would play out. I also worked to find props and costumes. I also had to ask my siblings to be a part of the film in order to make the story line make scene. They also had to find costume and they came to me for approval. I grabbed the cups and the soda. They worked with the stuff they had and brought their own props. I either approved or disapproved. Overall, the process was smooth. Working with the group I chose, it was fun and we also got the job done!
