Filming Blog: Planning and Starting the Production

For the final task I am the main character. I am acting in majority of the film. In the production, there is only 2 characters and I play the main girl. At my house, I had to pick out my own costume. I wanted to go for a look that people would wear in the early 2000's. So, I thought that a dress would be the best choice. To be more appropriate, I paired it with a oversized, black leather jacket. I also had shorts under the dress. In terms of props, I wasn't responsible for it. However, I did give ideas on what would be best for the production. In this case, I did my research and found images of a house phone that people used in the late 1900's and early 2000's. This prop did play a big role in the production so I'm happy that I did what I needed to do to make the storyline make more sense. With all this planning in mind, Feburary 10th was the day that I felt best fit my schedule to start filming. I arrived at the scene at around 2:40 pm. However, I didn't start acting my part till around 6:00 pm because the production takes places at night. It would be more reasonable to start when it also started to get dark. That day, I only got to film one scene before I had to get picked up. So, not the best management but I am happy that I got an idea of how I wanted the production to play out. Overall, that day I had a lot of fun. Working with my team is always an exiciting thing and I was ready to get more work done throughtout the upcoming weeks.
